Does not need Advice, knows everything. Member 3505, 3510 posts SQ 295, BP 182.5, DL 290767.5 kgs @ 105kgs Eq | Could this be a good thing? I don't know, there's already too many Feds. However, the BPC hardly has any comps, has no website and even when it did it wasn't updated. So this could be good if they put on plenty of meets, keep the website with records etc up to date... If not then what's the point?

Member 4098, 532 posts SQ 235, BP 150, DL 260645.0 kgs @ 93kgs UnEq | well suprise suprise Brian has now promised the BPC website will be back up next week lol...... The BPC arn't allowing records to be transferred over either so everything will be new. bad timing on behalf of the BPU imo straight after bodypower, BPC was floundering like as mentioned, not many comps, no website, no much tbh.....but at bodypower it was a very successful event and shows they can do a decent comp.....so BPC still has a lot of support. The BPC british is in Port Talbot 21st july and the BPU are running their brits alongside the WPC brit grand prix at Folkestone end of august/start september.

Other than by hiding their records I don't see how the BPC could possibly stop the BPU using their records as a starting point if they wished to. Haven't the BPO previous done this?

The BPU was set to be launched after Bodypower so it didnt interfere with the running of Bodypower or to cause distress to any of the lifters. Timing has been a great success with lots of support from members or all federations. If you visit the website www.britishpowerlifting.co.uk there is information about the federation and its being updated daily. There is a quality callendar of events which will grow for 2014 with divisional qualifiers as well as national and international events.
