The comp will then be scored using the wilkes system. For anyone new thinking of competing , this is a fun comp for lifters of all abilities anyone is welcome from complete beginners to aged veterans (like Boar). here are some of the vids from last years event: like last year there will be trophies for the top3 , and maybe even a Tshirt If I get my act together. In terms of the venue we can either do it at a gym , or if I can borrow a decent bar we could do it in a village hall , the advantage of the village hall is that if we stump up the equivalent of the gym day pass (£5) I can probably sort out some after lifting curry from my local curry house. so let me know what your prefered option would be. To be honest its just a bit of fun and a chance to max out and the trophies will be fairly s**t. | ||

 Kettlebells RULE !!! Member 3699, 407 posts | It's the weekend before an IKSFA training 'camp' (as a row of tents) I've paid up for but I still fancy this IF, and it is a big if, my better half can tolerate back to back weekends of lifting fun. Is there a chance of a booze up to go with the curry (for additional financial input of course)? Might swing it for me!! | ||

Kettlebells RULE !!! Member 3699, 407 posts | International Kettlebell Sport and Fitness Association. I think. Off the top of my head. Basically a bunch of elite Russian kettlebell guys coming over to coach English muppets like myself, a massive opportunity and privilege for me. The dude who owns the Strength Academy (Steve Aish) and I believe has had some input into orgainsing the camp holds a one arm barbell snatch world record, has closed a CoC 2.5 and is all round bloody strong for about 70kg or whatever he is! | ||
