Whenever i go for heavy triples or singles, by biceps hurt near the bottom of the movement, to the point where im doing the slowest reps you've ever seen to ease myself into the bottom of the rep.

Has anybody else experienced this and has anybody found a remedy? I was told foam rolling my chest might help.

I started to include curls when it happened to me because I didn't do any bicep work and the pain completely disappeared.

I get the same when I don't do these assistance exercises. When I do them, like currently, I have no pain!

curls with very tight elbow sleeves seems to get rid of bicep tendon niggles

Are we talking curls/chins/rows before benching here? Or just generally start doing them more?

Cheers for the responses guys, this has been bugging me for quite a while.

Getting fat is just as dumb as using PED's

Just build them into your weekly routine.

I had the same problem years ago and know a few others have also suffered with this. It was caused by squatting with my hands to narrow which was over-stretching the biceps area. I moved my hands out on the squat and always warmed up with light curls and haven't had the problem since.

You mean right at the bottom of the press when the bicep is oompressed ?
I get this a lot of the time in my left bicep, comes and goes, no real pattern to it and I do curls and chins every week.
I thought it was just one of those niggly little things that couldn't really be sorted, you're basically squashing the bicep so it's bound to hurt, right ?
I do what you do, lower it slowly so it doesn't bug me as much.
Let me know if you find a permanent cure !

I found the opposite, I used to get bicep and forearm pain on bench when I did do curl so I stopped curling. I haven't curled for about three years now, it took a while for the pain to go but I don't get it any more, I still do rows though.
