I took a bit of time out from lifting and have started back the past few weeks so thought i'd start a fresh journal for a fresh start...

I'm 30 and weight 76kg. Been back in the gym for 3 weeks now and my routine is:

Sun
Squat
Strict Press
Rows

Tues
Powerclean
Deadlift
SLDL

Thurs
Pushpress
Front Squat
Pullups

Goals:

DL 200kg
Overhead 100kg
Squat 130kg?
Get strong enough to do an U80kg event

Current:

DL 180kg
OH 85kg
Squat ? been squatting for volume and last week was 85kg x 5

I also do a couple of sessions of conditioning at home.

So if anyone has any advice/comments please feel free, cheers for reading!

Didnt expect this so soon after being back in training, its on a par with my best last year and i weigh less.

Probably not mate! I am actually going on holiday in 2 weeks, hence why ive lost 4 kg, gone from skinny-fat to just plain skinny! Grin

Dont know if anyones familiar with Bas Rutten? Hes got a workout tape that conotains an all round 30 min workout which is pretty challenging. Basically consists of shadowboxing/kicking various combinations he shouts out with various bodyweight exercises like pushups, plank, jumping squats/lunges, mountain climbers, sprawls, bicep curls (with the KB) and tuck jumps. I alternate between workout 1 & 2 (which is more kicking than striking).

For added resistance I hold 2 small 1.5kg DB's and strap on 2 1kg ankle weights!

Sounds gay, looks gay but it gets the heart rate up! Wink

60 x 1

The plan was to increase on last weeks 55 x 5 and do 60 x 5 but 55 wasnt going anywhere this week for some reason.

DB Rows

25kg (ish) x 20, 15, 10, 5

Squats are improving 5kg a week but dont know if im working out my set/reps properly, just been ramping up to a 5kg increase on previous week.
