Hi all i started powerlifting 3 months ago and train with a very knowledgble crew. Thing is I would love to lift their numbers but don't wanna be a fatso with high blood pressure or take drugs. Are there any powerlifters that are geniunely strong AND natural AND lean?

There are MANY who are strong and natural and lean.

How strong do you want to be? (Numbers wise)

I want to total 800kg at 105kg class BUT I went to a powerlifting comp recently and visually there wasn't much difference between the spectators and powerlifters (except that the later looked a tad softer).

Is it different at the national level?

How tall are you mate and how lean are we talking here? 10% Bodyfat, 15% bodyfat?

Loads of Powerlifters are fat as f**k. No two ways about that, but there are some absolutely ridiculously strong people who are also relatively lean. Have a look at Tom Martin in the 93kg class. His journal is on here.

Thanks I will take a look at Martin's journal.

I'm about 15% fat at 6 feet tall. I have some chest fat and it seems to be the hardest place for me and with me powerlifting and benching a lot it only looks like I’m fatter.

Probably should look at some heavy bad/speed bag traning so that I won't look like your typical powerlifter?

Mike Pennington is totalling around 800 @105 in the GBPF, and there are about 7-8 all doing over 700. It's definitely possible at that weight.

Most PL in the lighter and middleweight classes will be lean. And if they are good theyll be strong too.

Plus they can be all if the above without drugs.

However none of the above means they are healthy Happy

If I wanted health I wouldnt be in a sport.
