It's certainly near Higgenshaw Road.

http://maps.google.com/maps?&q=rhinos+gym,+oldham is correct.

Hayden do yourself a favour mate and throw that Sat Nav in the bin, it doesn't get you anywhere (that you want to go to anyway). I expect a phone call from you at 9AM asking for directions Wink

If anyone wants a lift from Manchester, I'll now be leaving around 10.

Cheers Rick, I'll be there.

Unless it's way easier for you to go to the station, I'd rather avoid the town centre since it's all bas***ded up with roadworks atm. I'll txt you - I think I have your number - but in case not, shall we meet outside the Sugden at 10?

And a huge thank you to all officials, spotters, loaders, scorers, referees, MC. Who were not only extremely efficient but very friendly and approachable.

Not forgeting the people who moved all the equipment to create the space we needed and then had to put it back again. Rather them than me.

I videos bryn's last deadlift , i believe it was a PB although im not certain, bryn ,do you want me to 'youtube' its ass ?

well done all the lifters aarons PB bench of 160 was great , hayden did well, shame about the confused ref/lifter combo on his last dead, MOz is a great competitor and his mate too, fatpete !! legend.

those new plates looked the part, although there seemed to be a couple missing Wink

OH, martin did an excellent job as ever , looking hunky too!!

Cheers for kind words, Mr Boar. Unfortunately, more chunky than hunky these days. Need to get a shirt that goes all the way round my expanding neck next time.Happy Although apparently I look quite petite when flanked by Jim and Pete.

Well done to all the lifters. Just a pity we can't pack the place out with spectators. I was pleased with Dave Littler's 510, that's what he was looking for. But all three lifts were slightly below what he can do in the gym, so mental attitude is the next thing to work on.

Toughest job of the day (as always) was the squat spotters, to well done to Sue, Marie, Mick and Rick.

I think it's also fair to say that Bryn and Jim have done a superb job since taking over the Powerlifting Secretary's position. Let's give them our full support and have a huge turn out at the NW bench 22nd October. And if everyone brings along two or three spectators, there'll be a fantastic atmosphere and hopefully lots of pbs.
