Its worth reading his statement about it. They appear to be breaking all their own rules to pursue the case and don't have the jurisdiction to strip him of anything. The Tygart guy appears to be on a power crazed witch hunt. Irrespective of the history, they have yet to display any physical evidence apart from anonymous statements.

That isnt actually accurate though. The line of 'they don't have jurisdiction' has been trotted out by Arnstrong's team since this USADA investigation and has been debunked by WADA. The UCI didn't help matters by saying that the USADA has no jurisdiction and then backtracking. It was a defence tactic used, which didn't have any basis in fact. In terms of anonymous witness statements, this is standard procedure in investigations like this up to this point. If Armstrong had chosen to challenge and gone to arbitration, then the witnesses would have been in the public domain, as would their statements, which were made under oath. There is the distinct possibility that by not going to arbitration that all these allegations which are said to add concrete details to the issue of doping and Armstrong's role in it, will remain unheard and that is the best that Armstrong could hope for. His next problem will be if Bruyneel goes to arbitration and then the allegations will actually be publicly aired.

Without clear test fails, how can they take his titles?
The man has fought all sorts of physical issues over the years and has passed silly amounts of tests. Giving up fighting it is not an admission to cheating, as they seem to be claiming.

Be surprised if this topic stays though given the subject matter Unhappy

The evidence is yet to be released. USADA say that it will be released. One of the issues that is (supposedly) being investigated is that the UCI colluded with USPS/Discovery/Astana to 'bury' positive tests and that these teams got advance notice of testing during races which other teams did not. Armstrong is the headline name, but the investigation as a whole is a lot deeper than looking at him alone. As it goes, I don't care if he doped or not, not at all.

Furthermore, if they strip him of his titles, surely the guy who then preceeds him, should alos have his samples retested? Were does it all stop!?

Also, the biggest pile of s**t i've read on this case is:

"USADA also accuses Armstrong of being a "ring-leader" of systematic doping on his Tour de France winning teams."

Ring leader? WTF! What are these bellends on about?

He's been fighting this for years and now he can't be arsed anymore and I can't blame him. Must be costing him a fortune! Everyone knows he's never failed a test and so if they do go as far as stripping hinm of his titles no-one will really care because they know his hard work and determination won him the titles!!!! And no one believe he cheated, the article also suggests that the only proof they have are anonymous interviews!!!! load of s**te

The general public will IMO. The media is very anti dopeing...people, believe it or not, tend to believe the vast majority of what they read

Suppose so, but those that would matter to Lance (I mean his real fans) would know that he'd never failed a test and that this is just a witch hunt!
