If I can put on ~10KG without getting too fat and continue to improve at the rate I have been over the last 2 years, then I should be able to compete in certain events. But I'm never going to press a 220KG log or pull a 445KG deadlift, I'd like to qualify for WSM at some point in the next few years, however with the current standard in England, I might need a few guys to retire first!

No reason you won't be a 400+ lifter and you got mishaesque pressing ability and he done 200+ log!

The legendary Discus Ben Member 1550, 476 posts | Cheers guys, always appreciated the word of encouragement and support. I actually believe that a 400KG+ deadlift is possible in the next 3 years, its the 440KG+ that's out of the question!! I think I'm close to a 170KG log at the moment, so a 400KG dead and 180-190KG log would do me nicely!

I'm good for ~220KG on a oly bar, so maybe 200+ on an axle. The 185 was tough last night but I'm far from 100% atm.

Struggled getting the log set on my chest, was easier from slightly higher blocks. I have 150KG for reps at UK's, I'll get a rep, one way or another! I could do 4 or 5 from the floor, doubt I'll manage as many from blocks. CGBP - Paused 60KG - 10 110KG - 5 135KG - 3,3,3

The legendary Discus Ben Member 1550, 476 posts | Post Edited: 13.08.2013 @ 12:25 PM by Ben_Something Last nights efforts:Squat (low bar, belt only) 70KG – 10 120KG – 5 170KG – 3 210KG – 3 250KG – 5 280KG – 1 250KG – 3,3 My body is struggling with the re-introduction of regular training after all the time off I had for competitions (it constantly aches). So all things considered I was happy to hit a nice easy 250KG x5, fairly sure I’m good for a 300KG belt only squat. Power cleans 70KG – 5 120KG – 3 160KG – 2 170KG – 2 175KG – 1+F 160KG – 3 Strict press 70KG – 5 90KG – 3,3,3,3,3 Lat pulldown 70KG – 10 90KG – 10,10 18 inch deadlift (Belt only) 120KG – 5 220KG – 3 270KG – 2 320KG – 1 350KG – 1,1,1 (plus a 5 second hold at the top) Just used these to work my grip in preparation for the deadlift at the UKs.
