As some of you guys know ive had a back injury and was getting better then went and f**ked it yesterday again, deadlifting again!

Bit different this time, went to pull the bar at bottom position and something went snap, twang, pop or watever to the left side of the spine of lower back.

Hurts like f**k sitting down and leaning forward and also standing up and leaning back.

PLEASE HELP!!

Yeah mate, using the old rest, ice etc principal.

Just wondering if anyone has any other tricks to sort the mess out and if anyone has had the same problem.

Knowing me i will only only go f**k it up again when its nearly recovered!

robbo you know you can insist that your doctor reffers you to a back specialist, as you injured you back doing a hobby which you make no income from.

i didn't know this until very recently. might worth a try

Thats good to know mate. I used to be with Bupa before i got made redundant from work and it would have been sorted by now.

I have lost all faith in the NHS and the physio who treated my back was another chocolate teapot!

Might try that then.

Feels like its more than a muscle though. Feels like laigaments or tendons or could be a disk problem but well worth a try

I agree that glutamine may help slightly, but if your back is actually f**ked, all the supplements in the world will not ease/slove the problem

You need to get to a good osteo mate, even if it means a longish trek. A decent osteo will diagnose the prob, be able to treat/manage the prob in anumber of visits and also be able to give you exercises/massages to perform yourself which will aleviate the pain/discomfort
