The journey from hell today, left at my usual time - around two of the clock, only to hit trouble on the M60, Usually when you hit the M61 it clears, but not today, today the M61 was shut so I was forced up the A666.

I can't remember the last time I went up that road and for a while I was lost, ultimately I came across a sign for the M61 and followed that, it lead to places I vaguely remembered and me and ten thousand others made slow progress over the M61 and up to the A6. Happy days from there. Arrived at four fifteen not in the best of moods.

I was very tempted to simply not bother but didn't give way to it.

Deadlift, deficit from the start
60 x 3
70 x 3
80 x 3
90 x 3
100 x 3
110 x 3
110 x 3
110 x 3

That's enough to assuage any guilt that may come my way. Cheered up considerably on the way home, which wasn't great but by comparison with the trip there was perfection.

When I left my village (close to Peterborough) 16 months ago, large cod and chips was £19.

Prices do vary massively around the country. The north of England appears to do quite well aside from the obvious places like Blackpool

I am afraid I don't have the technical knowledge to do that. But it does raise the interesting question of what to photograph it against. A fish and some chips without context would be fairly meaningless. Is there a standard item to use ? A ruler could be useful
