I followed directions to get there but had to divert due to one road being flooded and got very lost. Took the old fashioned option of asking for directions and was given the best and most accurate directions I have ever had. On leaving I decided that as the motor was close by I would drive the the correct general direction until I picked up a motorway sign and then it would be plain sailing from there. Or so I thought I drove over the motorway, which indeed was nearby, but there was no way onto it. So drove aimlessly, in the correct general direction, still hopeful of finding a motorway sign or something I recognized. The sign I never found but eventually I found something I recognized and enjoyed a splendid "I know the way from here" moment. All in all a forty minute journey turned into a ninety minute one. Bench, very raw 20 x 10 20 x 10 20 x 10 30 x 5 40 x 5 50 x 5 60 x 5 65 x 5 70 x 5 75 x 3 75 x 3 75 x 3 75 x 3 75 x 3 75 x 3 All a bit much tonight. I blame the nonsense mentioned in the first few paragraphs. It doesn't mean I am right to do so, but I am. Enjoyed seeing the chaps again though. | ||

I slowly came to the conclusion that the three letters I had were the centre three. I played the percentages and assumed the last letter then plumped for the most likely start letter. Very fortunate that percentage calls paid off. Phew would have been the more apt response. | ||

Not many in either but young Isaac did a splendid clean ad jerk pb and narrowly missed a backsquat pb. Turner demonstrated a unique and unbelievable method of how to slide a handle onto a bar (and off again). Jim lamented the fact that he will soon have to join an annual queue for cheese and Handsome Jeff cemented his reputation for being a very fine fellow indeed through the medium of lasagne. All in all, quite an evening. | ||

As usual I marvelled at why it took me so long to come up with something so obvious. | ||
