This gave confidence to the last guess, although there is always that last guess panic in case there is a word you have missed. Today there wasn't. Enjoyed this. | ||

I was fine with the old imperial units but the new metric ones were simpler and I could live with those. The major source of this annoyance was the way we went metric, that is to say we phucked it right up. I still buy forty inch waist trousers, have a size nine shoe, have a twenty seven inch inside leg. Horse races are still in miles and furlongs, road distances in miles and beer in pints. A truly British shambles. But now we are to introduce or should I say reintroduce wine sold in one pint bottles or 568 millilitres to you. Oh for f**k's sake !! | ||
