An interesting five.

The sheer amount of possibilities on the back of guess two meant after a speculative guess three, I needed to resort to a tactical for guess four; which thankfully gave me enough

Just a few singles tonight and was disappointed at where it ended. Could have gone on but the back developed a worrying but very mild ache, decided not to risk any more

A three, which could have been a two if I had been braver and it was the same case yesterday. I have been pretty much mired in fours lately, with sporadic threes and fives and an absolutely sphincter-puckering six.

Didn't need the third factfinder as a very obvious word presented itself, which is quite rare.

I watched some of the paralympic bench pressing earlier, the 107kg plus class, some very strong boys as you would expect but some rather strange rules that you wouldn't and some very strict refereeing.

The don't have a pause, and therefore no "press" command.
They use large (as in thick) Olympic weightlifting style weights rather than the slimmer, metal, powerlifting weights.
As a result of this, they have had to create a black, fifty kilo weight to accommodate the weight needed and (presumably) leave sufficient bar-end for the spotters to grab if needed.
The referees red-lighted any press-out that was not perfect and the jury showed their utter contempt for the referee's opinion by overturning almost every decision they were asked to. Actually that may be a slight exaggeration but not much of one.
The commentators were less than useless and explained nothing.
Other than that, I quite enjoyed it.
I have a great deal of sympathy for the referees, how they resisted punching the jury is praiseworthy and a mystery to me. My hat is off to them.

Also solved in seconds, sadly though in hundreds of them. On looking through my scribble I failed to do something rather obvious that probably would have made things much easier.

Must try harder. As eighties pop group Bananarama once said "It ain't what you do it's the way that you do it"
