So glad it's not just me. Anyway, I'm glad you all love gripping your CoCs as hard as humanly possible.

I'm reliability informed that the last time Mr Pete did that, the end fell off Eek

Pete, as someone with forearms the size of yourself, I am sure that if you learnt how to hold your CoC properly, you would have more success with it.

It’s all about how you set it in your hand first. It might sound unusual, but you need to use your other hand to help with this. Two hands, one CoC.

JT - who was your 3 closed by? I have had my 3 fairly close, but no cigar.

Luke - impressive collection!

Pete - I said I might start, but I can’t make any promises. I am am a busy man, although admittedly, it doesn’t take that long to give one of the old CoCs a quick squeeze.

"It's easy to mistake mature wisdom with being old and tired."

I had scared my 3 a few times, then a young lad called Ben Banks closed it heard of him?

Indeed he was, and a very good one, especially impressive bench if memory serves. He was a referee too

He is also the founder and CEO of SBD and is a very fine fellow and a gentleman to his fingertips

I've been in a car with Ben Banks and his dad. His dad's fast/aggressive driving style scared me!

This reminds me... at what I think was my last ever powerlifting comp (about 16/17 years ago) I switched DL styles during the comp. My first DL was done conventional and my following lifts were done sumo. Have you ever seen someone switching styles like this?

I've seen Turner do a deadlift with one leg conventional and the other leg sumo...

Had to visit Rochdale (population 108,000) to get the car serviced. I begrudge paying money for sensible things, but it's done now.

Big sleeps today, which was nice. A lazy day, had a walk to the pie shop to discover that they have stopped using plastic bags but haven't replaced them with anything, which I consider odd. Fortunately I carry one of their bags folded up in my jacket, could have been awkward if I had not.

I quite understand why they are dispencing with plastic but not to replace it seems very rum.

Stopped for a chat with an unemployed fellow of my acquaintance on the way to the shop, outside the shop I stumbled across a neighbour and chatted to him too, then almost home I met a cockney, QPR supporter who I discussed world affairs with for a quarter of an hour or so.

There can be no doubt about it gentle reader, I have officially turned into my father. He used to do this all the time and as a child it annoyed me massively. That was down entirely to my lack of understanding. Now I am him and I do it too, I enjoy it as he surely must have. I totally get it. Long may it continue
