I am beginning to realize what a busy boy I am going to be next weekend. Two sessions, both starting at ten, so there for nine really. And the possibility of dining out on Saturday. I have slept plethoracally (if that's a real word) this weekend. Shame you can't stockpile the stuffUnhappy Unhappy Unhappy

Michael Palin was on the Andrew Marr show this morning, he has a book out - see link above - it appears to be rather a rum do. He sold it to me though and all true which is never a bad thing

Just watched all six episodes of season eight of Game of Thrones and to be honest I really enjoyed it. I had read much online about disappointment but aside from the fact that the battle of Winterfell was way too long I don't really have anything but praise.

Most of the criticisms I saw online, where in my opinion totally unfounded. Endings are never going to be to everyone's satisfaction, but this was pretty damned good.

Might just be tempted to go back and watch the whole thing again. Just wish that Martin fellow would finish the books.

Monday, 27th May, start 15:30

Bank holiday, good sleep, last two episodes of season eight of Game of Thrones ten a Maccy D's and a cup of tea and before you know it the little hand is between two and three and the big hand is on six and like the yeti I have to make tracks.

Bench, very raw, squat boots on
20 x 15
20 x 15
20 x 15
50 x 5
60 x 5
70 x 3
80 x 3
90 x 2
100 x 2
112 x 1
117 x 1
122 x 1
127 x 1
I wanted to pause this but as soon as I held it I knew that wasn't a goer, but a touch and go was on the cards and worked out quite well

Close grip
60 x 8
70 x 8
80 x 8
85 x 8
85 x 8

Big Andy Foster was down tonight which is always a treat and Dave C is still have trouble when he puts his straps up. I remember the terror of a new suit from my equipped days and was able to make a suggestion that worked out quite well and bodes rather well for the future. Experience is never lost and it is a very pleasant feeling to be useful.

140 x 3
150 x 5
160 x 4
170 x 3
180 x 2
190 x 1
150 x 5
All quite easy and rather enjoyable tonight, which just a couple of months back is something I never thought I would say again. Ridiculously light of course, but before we can run, we must walk.

Physio on the way home, back this month, all is well.

Nice workout Mr. Pete! My workout the other day was of walk before you run. We need to keep in mind our age. My knee swelled up and the orthopedic doctor gave me a shot in it. It got all wobbly when I was squatting heavier. I am certain things will work out. Pushing could of been detrimental. Bad weather here. Flooding if you watch the world news!

It was hot and sunny five days ago Billy, sorry to hear that you have had a bad turn around with the weather.

There was a news report on yesterday about storms in Kansas I think it was. You do seem to suffer from weather over there, whereas we get away quite lightly (and yet still complain)

Went for the results of some routine blood tests tonight, the nurse peered at the screen and went though them - "That's fine, that's ok, that's ok, that's fine" then she paused and looked more closely at the screen and added "your liver's fantastic" with considerable enthusiasm, then a few more "that's fines" and that was that.

That'll do for me.

Good stuff. I enjoy medical readings, but I found my "40 year health check" to be annoyingly simplistic. My mission is to display visible abs next time I'm told I'm obese by a medical professional Happy

Thank you, and good luck.

Interestingly. I had a five thirty appointment, so one of the last of the day, and she told me that I was the healthiest person she had seen that day, which doesn't say much for the rest of them. She also added that I was one of the very few that she had not had to refer on to elsewhere.

So I may look a mess, but the numbers don't lie :-)

That shouldn't be too difficult.

In my view that is what separates good from bad doctors, mine at least concedes that the standard BMI nonsense doesn't apply to me and never mithers me about my weight.

A BMI of over forty got me a free flu jab last year. So that was a tenner saved

Happy

Had a chat with the good Doctor about our reffing duties tomorrow and as we were leaving Rick spoke into his phone -

"Google, make a noise" said he
Google replied - "This is a hippopotamus" there then followed a very hippopotamus like noise
"I certainly didn't expect that" Rick told me, for my part, I was speechless.
We switched off the light, locked the door and went our separate ways. It seemed the only reasonable thing to do.

If you can recognize an alpaca's sound I would be seriously impressed.

Me, I would just hear the noise and take their word for it.

On the other hand I do drive past a field on my way to work in a morning and sometimes, in that field, there are alpacas. Seemingly very quiet ones, but alpacas none the less.
