Two blissful, wonderful weeks before the horrors of British Summertime begin and the entire nation can pretend it's an hour farther on than it actually is. For a country that can only tell the time for half of the year I think Brexit was a big ask.

Some interesting conversation, concerning all manner of things and including that the earth travels at around 67,000 mph and that "We buy any car" dot com can solve a lot of problems assuming that you have the right kind of problem for them to solve. Day off tomorrow, the boiler man cometh, hopefully between 8 am and 1 pm. Is that life on the edge or what ?

Our own solar system, and everything in it is also spinning around the Milky Way at around 448,000 mph, and the Milky Way in turn is moving through space at a ridiculous speed. As for a frame of reference that everything could be measured by, instead of just relative to each other, it seems that the Cosmic Background Radiation is a reasonable thing to do it by. Relative to the CBR we are apparently traveling at around 390 kilometers per second, or 872405 mph.

I will also be missing on Wednesday as am in Newcastle interviewing prospective promotees (which i suspect will be painful and quite possibly fruitless) Back in on Friday!!

I knew about Mack as he had texted Haydn. Dave is pre-comp resting as is Jamie. Everyone had their reasons(even I missed last Friday), but it is a rare thing for there to have been so few. It is six years since Alan left us tomorrow, so I will have a quiet sit and a think and a remember, and then I will crack on. Joe should be with us tomorrow, but I have heard that before

Hyper obese Pete Member 70, 17883 posts SQ 322.5, BP 205, DL 300827.5 kgs @ 133kgs Eq | Anyhoo, the boiler man has been, he arrived just after eight, did boiler man things and left about half nine. I have taken it easy from then till now, and after I am finished on here, I will continue to do so. Even though I say it myself, I have quite a talent for not doing much.

In the old days of TV static on dead channels, about 1% of it (from possibly faulty memory) was CBR.
