The triple at 120 was hard but not desperately so. My arse tried to lift on the second rep and I may not have stopped in in time but the first and third were fine. The idea of doing a single before the triple is an old indian trick to acclimatize everything to what is about to happen. It is based on the old pub trick of getting four people to try and lift someone large by clasping their hands with two fingers extended under the guy's armpits and behind the knees. Of course they fail miserably and then they all press down on the top of his head and at the second attempt the guy flys off the chair and almost hits the ceiling. The effect of this tonight was nowhere near as dramatic but it was no bad thing
