Decent numbers mate.

Whats your job? Im thinking of going offshore in a few years, i assume youre on a rig? What are the states of the gyms on them?

I work for a service company that does Wellhead Systems, have now been offshore for 18 years
Gyms vary from half decent (oly bar, power rack & DB,s) to totally crap with one of those multi-gym station thingies

Back in the day when i used to stick to higher rep (3 x 6-8) progressive resistance full body stuff i found that using my time offshore as a rest period worked for me, used to average 150-200 days offshore

Now work a 2/2 rota and the rig Im dedicated to has a couple of cheap bent oly bars & a smith machine with hooks on the outside so Im able to get a few routines going.
My job also means i dont have to do much apart from eat some days which always come in handyHappy

Ah right i see, i thought as much. I thought that too, if i was to do 2/2 or 2/3 then i can train hard when im home, and train as best i can when i was away.

It'll be a few years yet anyway, only just finished my apprenticeship, but we all know the rigs are where the cash is Grin
