So I'm thinking of buying these

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B003VRPCMU/ref=asc_df_B003VRPCMU668...

Anyone else had any experience with them? Just wondering how they come up size-wise (too tight/loose), if anything my feet are slightly wide for my size

thanks

I have wide feet and Adidas WL shoes were very narrow when I've tried them on, not sure about this specific model.

I have these, love them.

I have wide feet and took my normal shoe size. Some of the most comfortable shoe I own!.

I've got them too and I love them. I've got fairly wide feet and wotsit toes and they are perfectly comfortable.

No signs of wear and tear even though they are used in the rain and snow in my back yard and have been for over a year.

whats the reason behind weightlifting shoes? can't you just lift weights in ordinary trainers?

I'm just very curious (although I admit it's a damn expensive curiosity if it turns out I hate them!) Was recommended them by a strength and conditioning coach guy at my gym who said they'd be alot more stable than the trainers I currently squat in. I also believe they might(?) help me in the bottom position of my squat, where I currently get terrible sciatica

thats fair enough, just always wondered what they were for. if it did help with your sciatica then i'd say it was a great investment

They are the best things ever, I'd put them above having a belt!!! For squatting in particular it feels much more natural in them and you really push through your heel, not the ball of my foot like i used to

they give you a loads more stable and solid base to lift from than trainers, i cant imagine squatting in trainers now

Loads better than bare foot for squating and overhead and worth every penny that you pay for them. You can't beat bare foot for deadlift though IMO.
