Light deadlift session trying to realy engage my glutes in the lockout to correct my form/overall pull

Pulls off 18inch working on realy forcing the hips through and squeezing my lats and glutes

Pendly rows got joined by a Egyptian guy mid session who spoke broken English and appeard to be the usual can I work in with your set reform afew sets with poor form and leave the gym but to my surprise it turns out he's an ex Olympic lifter and from what I could understand a pretty s**t hot one when he was at home lift in Egypt he said he had a 160 snatch at 75 and could tell he was backing it up with the way he was playing around with 100kg like it was nothing so just shows can't judge a book by its cover

I'm a little dubious about that bloke and his lifting claims. He joined in on the bench press with me and his form was awful. Granted, he said he was a former weightlifter not a powerlifter, but it was seriously bad. (think, no stability, less and less ROM as he tired, every rep looked different etc. etc.)

BUT, the biggest giveaway...........he wore gloves!!! I mean, come on.....

i wonderd where you were last nite thaught you mite have been in the dog house haha and yeh pressing is feeling very nice at the momment repping 140 faster than ever at the moment

tbh its about time i stopped being so squat focused and pay'd more attention to the bench because i think theres alot more in the tank and iv got a good build for it

im hoping if i bump up my squat and bench up enough my s**t deadlift wont hurt my total so much

the journal mite be taking some twists and turns from now on as im 10 weeks out from my next comp starting next week the goal is 700kg+ total at 105 or lighter
