Right this is my second attempt at a log, and plan to keep this one going!

i start at a new gym tomorrow which is better equipped (has powercage and some chains)

Since yorkshire novice i've really let things slip, event training has been next to nothing, cardio training has been ZERO and when i have been going to the gym i've just stayed with low reps and aiming for doubles and singles all the time. All this stops now!!! wifes gid me the golden training pass to go training (whithin reason) without inturuption, I've got 2 more comps coming up pretty soon (uk north novice end of august and salt ayre classic on 18th Sept)

with the state of my fitness i'm not expecting anything good in the next 2 comps, just experience really.


My goals are to to get fitter, rep more and break out of the novice scene this year and come back fitter next year.

Plan to do some kind of cardio at the end of each session, whether it be repping for 90's, mini medley or rowing machine.

Back training tomorrow so cheers for looking guys and any critiscism is as always welcome, i will try post vids as i go

Todays session

Hanging cleans + press
Barx6
40x6
50x6
60x6
80x6

Power cleans(from floor)+press
90x3(did in one motion, surprised myself on that!)
100x2, Got near top of chest, had to lean back and roll it up
100x2, Last rep was to belly then chest, but still pleased!

Bench press
60x6,
90x6
120x3
140x1(this was touch and go, only just made it!)
90x10

Circuit
Hanging cleansx5(40kg)
Strict press x5(40kg)
Rope tricep press down (start on 5, then after every complete circuit drop down 2 pins till failure)
10-15secs rest go again

Managed an easy ish 7 times on this, last 2 sets started to tire out triceps, finished with 3 then 2 singles on push down

Pleased with how it went, plan is to do a mini circuit depending on what I've done in the session, just to get heart rate up
