Still just matching David on bench. 'Good' shoulder still niggling, so taking no risks. Biceps strain nearly gone, might try some light curls next week. Good to be doing assistance work again. Had a very painful massage yesterday, feeling the benefit today, another one booked for two weeks time.

Still matching David. I think if I'd been going heavier I may have ducked out after a traumatic weekend, but the light weights ahead prompted me to give it a go. Fatigued throughout, and typing this before I fall asleep.

Still just matching David, keeping working, keeping everything ticking over. Black band today, adds about 60, plus half a pyramid.

The plan was to finish with some light dumbbell curls as the biceps seems better, but it aggravated the left shoulder slightly, so not worth compromising weeks of 'rest' for the sake of a few curls. I'd have done five sets of the two back exercises if I'd known, but all well.

Tuesday Bench and Bits

Very little to report. Still rehabbing the shoulder, just matching David. The good news is that the shoulder felt less stiff and sore on warm up and the trapped nerve issue in the right arm may be be just about cured. After ten years! Which will definitely increase my capacity to go heavy again.

Staying light for a few sessions. Pulldowns used to hurt my right forearm with electric shock type pains, but today they didn't. Maybe it was the lack of weight, but hopefully it was another sign of the trapped nerve easing. In the meantime, I have another Thai massage booked for Thursday, so more work on the trapped nerve.

Left shoulder still not right, but less wrong. Took the top number up 5 today to 90, going to raiswe it 5 a session for the next few weeks all being well until I can hit a respectable number again.

Everything nice and comfortable. Nice to be getting into proper back training again. Top bench will now go up 2.5 per session , subject to no shoulder pain, see where it takes me.

I've not posted for a few weeks, mainly because vision problems have made it difficult to use the laptop. However I've kept on training and took my 1RM up from 100 to 122.5 in recent weeks. That was pretty much my limit, but I've been too fatigued to do much in the way of reps. Blood pressure dangerously high, affecting vision and kidney function, so on copious amounts of meds to get it down with is leaving me horribly fatigued. Hopefully just temporary, and better that than death or dialysis. I can see the screen again, so hopefully can post regularly, but it won't be very exciting or inspiring. I didn't train last week. I had eye injections on Tuesday and just wasn't up for it. So to today...

Tuesday Bench

I planned to train at 1, but fell asleep in the chair, woke up 3.30, remained exhausted, resigned myself to not training today. But the tiredness lifted for a while about 6.30, so trained at 7.

In the context of what had gone before, delighted with 120. I had planned down sets, but the fatigue returned as suddenly as it had left, so that was that. Just need to cling on to what strength I've got until I'm able to push things on again. Don't give up...
