Still feeling lousy, but maybe just enough there to do a bit? No training partner. He's like I was last week. So just a tickover session.

130 for 1 - pretty hard
120 for 2

In the circumstances, delighted with that, long rests and all. The 110 x 3 just about finished me off, and the 100 x 5 finished the job.

Just a gentle one. still not tip top.

Didn't expect it to be that gentle! Busy day, with new lamb, new car, lots of running about, all while feeling lousy and not eating properly. I suppose a quick run through the gears is better than nothing. There will be better days.

Last night, for the first time this year. my blood pressure monitor didn't tell me my BP was high. It did this morning, but a very welcome step in the right direction. I was also put on a beta blocker, started it on Monday, and within 24 hours my pulse had dropped from high 70s to low 60s, where it has remained ever since.

The double with 120 took the last of my energy, but it was good to hit 130 again and double 120. Should've eaten more, had no bananas handy. I really need to get back to pyramids, but I simply don't have the strength endurance yet, so we do what we do until we can do better.

Dreadful session. Had quite an active day before training, felt like sleeping rather than training. Would have if no training partner. Decided on a quick run through the gears if I could stay awake.

Felt a little bit better today. Not 100%, but closer. The plan today was to try on my old, but rarely used, Super Katana, and see how things went.

I think this is the shirt to focus on for the foreseeable future. It used to need 190 for a touch, but I'm not as big as I was when it was custom made all these years ago. I'm now consigned to the land of loose shirts, because I fear I can no longer press what I would need to touch in a tight shirt. The joys of aging!

All the down sets, there was at least one more rep there on each set, but I was just pleased that the extreme fatigue of recent weeks has at last left the room. There will be better sessions, but today was an important step back.

Clearly getting better. This time last week I couldn't even have contemplated a volume pyramid. Left me shattered mind you, but isn't that the general idea? I've had this extreme fatigue for five weeks now. It'll be good to see the back of it...

One of these sessions that takes moments to write but ages to do. Felt wrecked after the down 9 and had to take longer rests, but got it done. Arms were fried, by the end 80 felt like 120. Good to be back on the metaphorical bike.

Also, the truncated warm up with 20 jumps didn't really work. Really creaky throughout, which is why I stopped at 120. Lesson learnt.
