Everything creaky. Bar for 10 x 3 sets 40 for 6 x 3 sets 60 for 4 80 for 2 100 for 1 80 for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Finish. The weight went up 5 kilos today, but the top set went down to 10 reps (from 12). A strange day, woke up with what I thought was a cold, but it came to nothing. Every rep felt easy, but I was wiped out after each set. Good news is 11 will definitely be there next time, but won't be pyramiding again until after the competition. | ||

![]() Old Age Presser Member 75, 7906 posts SQ 0, BP 200, DL 200400.0 kgs @ 105kgs Eq | Friday Bench - Heavy Bar for 10 x 3 sets 40 for 6 60 for 5 70 for 4 80 for 3 90 for 2 100 for 1 110 for 1 120 for 1 130 for 1 - really easy, so 137.5 - fail, but a better fail than last time 120 for 3 120 for 3 110 for 5 110 for 5 100 for 6 100 for 6 Finish Wiped out, really tough, but good, session. Thought I'd get the 137.5 after how easy the 130 was, but weirdly, went to the 130 feeling fresh and the 137.5 tired. So it was a real bonus to get the two sets with both 120 and 110. The plan was 8s with 100, but by then I was wiped out. Next time, I'm going to 137.5 via 12.5 kilo jumps of 100, 112.5 and 125. Hopefully I'll come to it less pre exhausted. It will fall! | ||

Upping the ante a bit as I get fitter and stronger. A year ago I was slumped in the chair recovering from sepsis thinking I might never lift again, far less compete. Tried the tighter (48) Rage X Bar for 10 x 3 sets 50 for 6 x 2 sets 70 for 4 x 2 sets 90 for 2 110 for 1 Shirt on 130 - could only take it down about 3 inches Finish. It was never a good idea. Still wrecked from yesterday. Saw sense and stopped. | ||

As a consequence, joints creaky, right arm hurting more than usual. Bar for 10 x 3 sets Band on Bar for 6 40 for 5 50 for 4 60 for 3 70 for 2 80 for 1 90 for 1 100 for 1 110 for 1 90 for 3 90 for 3 90 for 3 90 for 3 90 for 4 Finish. First time in ages I've done multiple sets of 3 with a heavy weight. Had to work, but in a good way. Finished early, so fitted in 7 sets of 10 curls with 15Kg dumbbells. Two more sessions... | ||

Never truly warmed up, probably as simple as should have worn an extra layer. The numbers... Bar for 10 x 3 sets 40 for 6 60 for 5 70 for 4 80 for 3 90 for 2 100 for 1 - already feeling heavier than it should 112.5 for 1 125 for 1 - could tell there wasn't another 12.5 there, so 130 for 1 100 for 6 - so cold I was scared of tweaking something if I carried on 90 for 10 80 for 12 Then curls, 6 sets of 10 and 1 set of 20 with 15 kg dumbbells. And that was it. Disappointing, but did what I safely could. Keep it for the comp, eh...? Feeling sleep coming on. | ||
