Sprinted with 120's and were very fast, 160 was fast, 200 was slow. | ||

It turned out it was front handle, it was slightly higher than regular height. It was estimated to be around 200kg, i was hoping it would be on the heavier side of things as i gass quite quickly so i know i'd struggle to get more than 10reps. The car was light, pulled 11 reps, 1 was no repped by starting before the lift command so ended up with 10reps. There was definately more in there strength wise but not fitness wise. 10 reps 8th place Log Press for reps Second event was log press (90kg for reps). I never usually have a problem with this weight, good for 3-5 reps. Missed the 1st rep at lockout, went for a further 2 reps, missed them both. The weight felt like a lot more than 90kg, more like 100-105, not sure if it was mis-loaded or it was just a plain awkward log but i shouldn't be having problems with that weight. It seemed like a lot of lads seemed to feel the same- it not feeling like the weight it was supposed to be. 0 reps- not happy Joined 6th/last-2 other lads failed this weight. ![]() Yoke into Farmers Medley These were supposed to be seperate but got put together to form a medly. The distance was changed from 20m to 15m though. Yoke was upped to 270g, farmers were 110kg a hand. I managed to stumble over the line with the yoke with several drops, came to the farmers and the jelly legs came on, one pickup moved about 3m and dropped them. Time then ran out before i could repick them up. Legs and back were fried from the yoke anyway. Yoke and 3m farmers 7th place Barrel and block medley This was in place of the sandbag medley. First barrel was 60/80, other two were 110, and the block was 100. Set off with the first barrel and realised i could run with it, got just over half way with it and fell over with it, doing a superman. Managed to get up and carry on though. Kind of funny really how i fell over ![]() 2 barrels and 1/3 way with the third 7th place 120kg stone over Yoke Saw one of the lads going before me and it was high, he was tall and the stone was on the top of his chest when he was loading it over the yoke so i knew the height was going to be an issue for me. Lapping the stone and popping it up was no problem, the weight was comfortable. I just kept hitting the top of the yoke and couldn't seem to push it over due to my height. Had 2 go's at it before i gave up. It was not going over. Only thing i can think of that might of helped would of been to change my grip from over the stone to putting my hands underneath it when it was at that height. Or simply get stronger to shoulder it 0 reps 8th place Overall- 8th place. Good venue, good events.Plenty of people gave useful and helpful advice. I just felt like i massively underperformed. On a another day maybe i would have had better luck. Log was the main one single thing that pissed me off though- failing it was embarassing | ||

Stiff legs felt so slow off the floor from 180 upwards. I was going to go for 3 @ 215 but the first one felt slow so didn't push it. 200 x 3 also felt slow, but it's graft i suppose | ||
