100kg clean & jerk (F)

pretty happy with the clean, but it seems to go in my head before i even attempt the jerk! anyone have similar issues with heavy jerks?

Be patient with the camera angle, my cameraman was s**t so you'll have to tilt your head for the clean, the jerk is the main feedback point tho and thats not topsy turvy =]

Firstly, do you have a coach? If so, what do they say?

From the looks of it I think you're driving the bar forward a little bit (look at the position of your right arm in relation to the power rack in the background).

You're also dipping a hell of a long way - it's more like a partial squat than a dip. You can't apply maximal force over a long distance!

Just forgot about dropping the bar on your head and get under it. I've not seen anyone ever drop a bar on themselves. Self preservation kicks in!

Yeah the coach says similar, my arms are too far in front. He also says (on completed jerks) that I dont go low enough. i split then drop, which is why i think i go so low before i jerk. Before that attempt i hit a 95 easy, wish i'd have filmed it though because i think i dipped less before the jerk.

your elbows dipped as your did, i used to do it untill Alex smalls brother pointer it out. Helped me massively.

Yeah they do dip quite a bit, one thing i find is that jerking from the rack i can remember all of my coaching points. But when jerking from a clean it all goes to s**t!!
