2 hours snowboarding. Linked turns are slowly becoming shallow carves. No falling, which is nice.

now, its customary for park runners to have 'away days' ........ sadly I work Saturdays but I would encourage you to have a trip upto cuerden valley parkrun , it may just be the most brutal of all parkruns ...... and therefor the best !!!

May start trying a few others Jon as the weather picks up. Looking at taking it international with the Zary parkrun in Poland.

Looks like a 2018 jobbie though.

Whatever way I looked at it Andy it was silly expensive to hire the bike. Looking more for a fly drive down route 66 with a few detours, but possibly a couple of years off.

I won't be running itAngry

I hope you log your commutes on THE EDGE ..... when I was garmin'ing/strava'ing , I used it for my commute ...and its less than 4 miles !

going international with the parkruns is a great idea, out of my reach ...but you can live the dream for me !

do you podcast ? I listen to a variety in the van and enjoy marathon talk ... one of the presenters is the BIG CHEESE of parkruns

I do log them, but the route, the conditions, the bike I commute on and me too don't lend themselves to fast overall times for this run. I need light nights/ mornings again. Joined up to Strava and linked it to GarminConnect, but most of the features that I don't already have look like being premium jizz. That said it's 600 calories each way which helps with the bwt control quite a bit.

the bit of strava I like is where stretches of roads have leagues ..... like that hill up rivvy or just a nice road near where you live loads of em :

I made up my own segment:

www.strava.com/segments/8048210

EDIT : just checked and I am in the top 10 out 0f over 2500 !!

The thing I like about Strava is the ability to compare your sessions against previous ones and other people. Over time it builds up a history of all your training and it's then easy to look back and see if your improving and how you compare. I think Garmin Connect may now have something similar but certainly around here, very few people use the Garmin on.

Posting photos of your runs against each session is for me also quite a nice feature if you're going somewhere different or just as a reminder of how things are looking.

If you want more stats and using Chrome there is a free extension - StravistiX which gives you a lot more details.
