Competition Information
The 2010 Northern Irelands Strongest Man U90kg
‘British Championship Qualifier’

Complete Gyms are delighted to announce this new and exciting event!

The competition includes all the excitement and thrill of Strongman with a phenomenal line up of athletes with a sporting background in a variety disciplines!

Rugby Players, Power-lifters, Tug of War Team members, Bodybuilders etc – The only factor restricting entry is age & weight! You must be over 18 years of age and have a bodyweight of no more than 90kg at the competition weigh in. - (Pre qualifying required)

The events will include:-


Farmers Walk, Yoke & carry Medley - fastest time or furthest distance wins! 90 second time limit!

Steel Log lift – Maximum weight - Heaviest weight pressed wins!

Arm over arm rope pull with Drag - Each competitor has to pull a bunch of heavy chains 15m from a seated position arm over arm - on breaking the line the chains have to be dragged back 15m - fastest time or furthest distance wins! 90 second time limit

Stones – Repetitions onto a platform with atlas stones - each rep with standard 100kg stone = 1 point or large 115 stone = 2 pts - Most points in 75 second wins!

Deadlifting – Repititions in a frame lifting a massive quarry truck tyre - Most reps in 75 seconds wins!
Beer barrel loading – 5 Barrels loaded onto platform - Fastest time or most barrels / distance in 90 seconds wins

Plus Special Guest/s Events & Give-Aways for the crowd. - UK Strongman Dave Meer will be challenging the UK Axle Press Record - Currently held by the Massive “Glenn ‘The Daddy’ Ross who has officially pressed 170kg” - Come and give your support to Big Dave & and enjoy the show

A fantastic event for all the family
The winner of this event will qualify to represent Northern Ireland at the 2010 Under 90kg British Championships held in Birmingham in September
