Strongman UK is proud to announce the 2010 Strongman UK Deadlift challenge

Saturday 27th November

Leicester leys leisure Centre

QUALIFIERS

Competitors will be required to perform max reps of a set weight on both an Olympic bar and an axle – 75 seconds on each. Once finished, repetitions will be added together with the top 5 going through to the final.

THE FINAL

A 1RM lift off with the last man standing of the 5 being declared the winner of that weight category. The heaviest lift will be declared the Strongman UK 2010 champion.

Weight categories

Under 90kg

Under 105kg

Over 105kg

QUALIFYING LIFTS

Olympic barbell – reps in 75s

Under 90kg – 170kg

Under 105kg – 185kg

Over 105kg – 200kg

Axle – reps in 75 secs

Under 90kg – 160kg

Under 105kg – 175kg

Over 105kg – 190kg

*All supports allowed for qualifying lifts. No straps or other handwear allowed, only chalk.

*straps ARE allowed for the final

Once complete, reps for both will be combined to form a leaderboard for each weight. The top five from each category will then go into a head to head 1RM lift off using the olympic bar.

There will be five prizes in total, they are;

Three weight category champions

One 1RM to bodyweight ratio champion

One Strongman UK Deadlift champion max lift

Entry cost* – £5 (£10 if you want an event t-shirt)

*Not: If you want an entry t-shirt or wish to pay by cheque, payment must be received 21 days prior to the event taking place. Cash entries welcome on the day.
