Monster squatting 3xbw for a triple is monsterous. Deads are looking better everytime too!!!!!


Cheers mate, your squatting looked better to me last night - I think that it may be worth trying the oly heels for another couple of sessions.....

If it's a confidence thing, I would just add 5kg a week whilst working on your technique. Within a few months you will be back moving big weights but with much imporved form.

Wednesday 18th August - Squat and Deadlifts @ Ralls

Had bad few days with not much sleep / stress with parents falling to bits around me (my mum is still in hospital), but managed to string a decent session together today Happy

Squats
  • 60kg x 8
  • 100kg x 8
  • 140kg x 5
  • 170kg x 5
  • 190kg x 3



  • 210kg x 2



  • 235kg x 3 - PB (I think...)



    Happy with these - with a little more rest and a following wind, I'd be good for 5 I think.

  • 180kg x 5 - Speed Work (with loose wraps)
    Andy insisted that for speed work I needed to give my knees some support - I think that he's trying to make me a kit whore bit by bit Grin


Deadlift

    From blocks
  • 75kg x 10
  • 125kg x 8
  • 175kg x 5
  • 210kg x 3
  • 225kg x 3
  • 255kg x 3



    These felt better tonight - Still having to feed the power in slowly at the bottom of the lift but I didn't have any pain in my pelvis Happy
    I think having my belt a notch looser for deadlifting is helping here.

    From the floor
  • 165kg x 8 - Speed Work

Good solid session tonight - no pain in my groin when squatting and no pain in my pelvis when deadlifting.
I feel like I now have a solid base to build from Happy

p.s. Dave Carter has the longest arms I've ever seen on anything living outside of a zoo!
