beza | Late evening training | 13-05-2015 @ 19:46
I hit a pb today with a chest infection Member 3283, 1921 posts | I train at 8 ish on a night and get in from work at about 5.45. Whens best to have my tea? If I have it before I'm bloated and shattered and it's too easy to leave the gym. If I left it til after training I like an hour before eating a big meal so it'd end up been 10pm and as I get up at half 5 I don't want to eat that late and then sleep on a full stomach. What's best to do? I want to stay fairly bloat free before training but don't want a massive meal late either. Just small stuff either side of training all together? I don't want to not eat enough either if you know what I mean. Any suggestions would be great cheers

I hit a pb today with a chest infection Member 3283, 1921 posts | I always have some nuts on the way home anyway, thinking maybe just some toast before gym then whatever I can when I come back, pint of full fat milk/cheese on toast etc

Help me rescue my Insulina. Member 5366, 1090 posts | Post Edited: 13.05.2015 @ 23:11 PM by McMuffin_Gains Bit of a tricky one, I used to hate working out late for this exact reason. Can you not gullet pound a post workout shake immediately after to get a big protein and carb hit and then just have a snack at home? If you feel your missing out on your evening meal just eat more throughout the day? Edit: beza said:I always have some nuts on the way home anyway, thinking maybe just some toast before gym then whatever I can when I come back, pint of full fat milk/cheese on toast etc This would be a good idea, eat something light before, pound a post workout shake or a litre of chocolate milk in my case and then eat something light at home. Prevents bloat, gets the calories in, isn't detrimental to workout or sleep.

understanding of the sport, little he has. Member 798, 9942 posts SQ 260, BP 150, DL 272.5682.5 kgs @ 82.5kgs UnEq | Just eat afterwards - I finished training at 21:45, had my post workout shake at 22:00 and ate my tea at 22:45. I'll be inhaling doughnuts and bakewell tarts from 23:30 until 00:00 when I go to bed. Carb crash = sleepy time

I couldn't eat like that that time of night, and definitely couldn't be eating proper meals like roast dinners etc at 10.45 lol. Cheers mate
