Watched this last night and enjoyed it.

Ed was quite coy on the whole will he won't he retire angle though...
Mikeneto
Isnt he still 190kg? Doesn't look like he is retiring.

He was on about doing a 1200lb deadlift just a few days back so doesn't look like it. Think he might go to beat his 500kg at the deadlift championships / worlds strongest man in a day. Only a couple weeks away now (30th).

In the seminar he said he'd retire from World's Strongest Man once he won it, but not strongman all together. He wanted to go break to powerlifting records after, but he's done his main ambition, he's now just trying to make as much money as he can whilst he's still a household name, and I don't blame him.

Yeah, wouldn't class it as a speed pull personally but won't surprise me at all if he pulls more than 500kg in Manchester.
AdamT
when it comes to deadlift, I will never doubt what he can do again!

Wasn't there gonna be a 400kg for reps deadlift?

Yeah that's what I thought but it says world deadlift championships. Maybe they have changed it to reps this year? I'd prefer to see 400kg for reps personally.

Has anyone got the confirmed events??

Do you know if its 75 seconds for the deadlift? 400kg x 10 for Ed??

I believe it is 60 seconds, but I don't know for sure. A smart move by the organizers would be to put Eddie early, so he'll have to put up a big mark because he won't know exactly what he has to beat.
LaTuta
7 reps in 60 sek for Eddie, would be my guess.
