had the s**ts/puking all week. weighed 109kg on the dot last friday, down to 105.5 today! Unhappy I started feeling a bit better today so I thought id get a session in. wasnt expecting much.

Training today:

Log Press (1st rep clean):

70kg x 6
80kg x 5
90kg x 4
100kg x 6

Log c+p:

90kg in 60secs x 6

Deadlift:

120kg x 6
140kg x 4
160kg x 2

started feeling pretty rough again at this point so I just left it there.

thanks man. TBH the log was better than expected but the c+p killed me. there was nothing left for deads.

I think if I get a bit of focus back in my training 130 is definately possible. everythings been a bit scrappy recently.

Pity you can't find any other monsters nearby who would like to train with you (or do you prefer to train solo?)

I posted about the unit on Gumtree and had fair few mofos interested. Worth posting on SDF and MT as well mibbie?

Training alone sucks balls. My gym training is mainly alone, and perform so much better on events day when I have motivation/someone to compete against

Also always tend to get gym PBs when train with Big Mick/Millsy etc

yeah might be a good idea. although training hermit style does have its benefits some extra motivation wouldnt go amiss. will have a think on it..

i know how you feel will solo training is hard metally, i've managed get a buddy to train with me. he did his first comp this year and has the bug so i'll try and keep him keen.

most of my training is solo i've had a lot of training partners over the years but you really need someone who will do what you want when you want! i'll make a big effort and come down before christmasGrin i really enjoyed training with you last time, you are always welcome at jays gym

Training today:

2" Axle strict press:

60kg x 6
70kg x 4
80kg x 2
90kg x 1 + 1 FAIL

2" Axle push press:

80kg x 6
90kg x 4
100kg x 8 PB

Stones (to 59"):

110kg x FAIL - damn thats high!
110kg 2 x 1 PB
130kg x 1 PB Cool
130kg x FAIL - nothing left
110kg x 6 lapped

pretty good session after finally getting rid of this stomach bug. strict press has definately stalled so im just going to leave it for a few weeks now to concentrate on pushies and jerks.

I felt I had the strength to do more on the push press but my breathing wasnt right. lack of oxygen stopped me from nailing any more. a pb though nonetheless so im happy with that.

well pleased with nailing 130 to 59" as thats chin height for me! had to get it as high as I could and then do a second push with my legs to throw it over. only just made that rep so I doubt I could go any higher with the 130. possibly could with the 110.

maybe some ovehead lock outs after your push pressing will help the strict pressing and maybe some incline pressing too
