Does anyone do these and get anything out of them? Its been pointed out my lift doesn't look very explosive and these would help. I've done them before but never seem to do a great deal...thoughts?

You're doing more than 3 times bodyweight. I don't think there's a problem Happy

Having said that, I do speed Deadlifts.

Having said THAT, I'm terrible at deadlifts.

Haha, I do them too but don't know if I am not doing them correctly to benefit.

I'm s**t at deadlifts. I admit when I pull fast, it improves.

I've been doing them with 140-160kg against a band mate...6-8 sets of 2 with around 60 second rests.

Sure you can do light deadlifts if you want to...and 'speed' in front of 'deadlift'' dosent make doing light deadlifts any less or more effective Happy

..and? Your deadlifting not doing a box jump Wink

By all means do some light deads, and use bands. However don't get into bad habits of snatching at the bar etc.

I love "speed" deadlifts - but I agree with Iain that I probably wouldn't do them because someone said my deadlifts looked slow.

I've watched - lierally - hundreds of your deadlifts and I don't recall ever thinking "That Guy needs to f**king speed up a bit". Happy
