Let's face it I could say I have a plan that involves 'anal application of creatine by a tramp' and as long as I name dropped a big weightlifting country it'd sound a good plan!

Bring on the pump!

Well it's not squatting or benching but did some extra work at the school this evening. Stretched and iced the back too.

Very nice session today. Back was still a bit tender in places but held up okay. Felt it the most warming up on the bench.

Nice sqautting today. Daily max was def a max for the day but nice to do 220 without any fanfare. Backed down to 80% of that and got 20 reps in. All very nice.

Benching was smart today with some big pauses thrown in at times.

Finished with some seated OH work as felt anything standing (dumbbells in particular) may tweak my back. Pin press was a b**ch. Full ROM with a deadstop. Finished with some nice reps dumbbell pressing. I def think I have been remiss in the OH work over the years. Carn't see it as anything but good for my unequipped bench.

Nice session Iain. Have you trained like that for a while?

Working up to a max then doing loads of sets of doubles/triples? I am quite interested in it.

No. Only 2nd session doing it. It's got legs that's for sure. However I only got another couple of weeks doing it tops, as I have a meet coming up that I need to tapper down for and havn't built up the conditioning to do this type of work all the way up to a meet.

Plus I've been in the 90% zone for squatting the last month Happy

For me currently it's def an 'offseaon' type training. It's not like you'll hit pb after pb on the daily maxes. Infact you'll probably stall on the loads but that's not the point really. The point is it's a lot of good, self regulated work. I'll be aiming for 40-50 rises a week.

very nice 220k squat,looked comfortable! how many reps are you hoping for on that squat frame at the southern u90k?

Hopefully double figures, but I may gas so there's that!

I'll be in all the gear so may just feint after 5 Grin

I won't have had much practice in the gear but I feel like I can do 200x10 in the gear without practice.

Off course may not like the frame?
