I haven't been keeping a journal very well, so thought doing one on here may help keep track of my alleged gains.

Goals for year end
  • 182.5kg deadlift (thanks Boar!-)

  • 160kg squat

  • 120kg front squat (I just started these)

  • 100kg OHP

  • 115kg bench

Added Belt 160kg x 5

160kg x 1 with hold 10 secs
I've given up on mixed grip so doing a hold to try and work on grips.

Drop set
140kg x 6
130x 8
110x 8
100 x 10 x 2 (no belt on second set)

Rows 70kg x 6, 7, 7

Press day today.

that cant be strict can it ?

best of luck , mabie sneak the deadlift goal upto a nice 400lb/182.5kg

Trying for strict press, but would be happy if its on log, bas***d bar or a beer keg. Strict 100s 100. We'll see how it goes.

Trying to figure out letting the weight down on my lats. Was watching Stan Rhino and mark Bell talking about it.

So you're doing hook grip, or double over-hand? If you're doing DOH that's going to limit your deadlift a lot (and 160 doh with a 10s hold is not bad!)

Double overhand.
I tried hook grip on cleans before but its a reach for me and not very comfortable on the thumb bones. Or maybe I'm just a wimp.
Mixed doesn't get on with my elbow tendon and gives me mad calluses.

Clean and press 50kg x 8reps x 4sets 15-20secs between

Kettlebell 24kg
Swings x 12 20 sec rest
One arm swings x8rep each side x2 20sec rest
Switch arm swings 16
Trying to work on hip drive for end of deadlift.

10 near jog farmers half way up the road 114kg 20secs between. With belt.

You get used to hook grip. I typically do singles and doubles hook grip and higher-rep sets with straps. Doh is great but it's going to limit your deadlift as grip will be the weak point. Looks like your grip is pretty good though!
